The Botswana Paediatric Association is dedicated to improving the quality of paediatric care in Botswana. We are a professional association of paediatricians committed to promoting child health and disseminating paediatric knowledge.
We organize regular conferences and meetings that bring together pediatricians, healthcare professionals, and experts in the field. These events provide opportunities for learning, networking, and sharing of best practices in paediatric care.
We encourage and support collaborative research projects in paediatrics. By facilitating research collaborations among our members and partnering with academic institutions, we aim to generate new knowledge, improve paediatric care practices, and contribute to evidence-based guidelines.
We actively advocate for child health policies and initiatives that prioritize the well-being of children in Botswana. By engaging with policymakers, government agencies, and other relevant stakeholders, we strive to influence positive changes in paediatric healthcare and promote child-friendly policies.
Members and still growing!
As a first-year resident, receiving the Resident of the Year award from Botswana Paediatric Association was an immensely cherished pat on the back, affirming that amidst the turbulence and challenges, my efforts were recognized and valued, more so that it was a peer based nomination.
Greatful and honored to have won the 1st BPA best resident award(2021)! This recognition fueled my passion to deliver exceptional care. Dream big, persevere, achieve! Dr Kagiso Mochankana MBBS(UB) IPPC ( UoS) FcPaeds(SA) MMED( UB) Peadiatric Infectious disease fellow ( UKZN)
Everyone that helps to treat a child is a hero to me' a quote that keeps me going day in and day out. I get to see these heroes everyday putting in their absolute best and inspiring me to do more.
Such a great honor to be recognized among great aspiring paediatricians. Thank you BPA for motivating us to keep providing quality healthcare to children.
Children are great little people, full of surprises and they keep us on our toes. There’s great satisfaction in attending to their health needs.
